city_limits Arrival The Great Lakes were famed for a great many things. Many, down the years, had noted their apparent draw for all things supernatural. Strange lights, odd weather, magnetic anomalies, strange creatures and so much more, besides... Entire books had been written about the subject, even before the global revelations.
One more series of aquatic swishes now made yet another ethereal visitor's presence known to this body of water. The Lamiae had their own secrets to guard, but also, their own games to play. Curiosity compelled this one, in particular and there was no halting in the motions, even as she reached the shore. Further inland, under bridges, she went, moving smoothly past the nocturnal maritime traffic of boats and occasional human debris, sifted through the murky depths.
Perhaps her eventual destination had no particular purpose in mind. It could just as easily have been a casual interest in surveying these waters, than any deliberate location in mind, which brought her to this exact stretch of riverbank. Whatever the case, a cautious look around was given, before hands clutched the side and an appearance of not serpentine trunk, but apparent humanoid legs came into view, as Lamia hauled itself from one medium of liquid to another of air. The material she was wrapped in, now as waterlogged as hair, but the owner no less content to allow both to dry.
Another commune of human beings. Possibly one she had visited before, possibly not. What was of most interest, however, was something else, entirely. Something which just so happened to reside within it.
